Motor Insurance
Our Motor Insurance comprises two different policies, namely Comprehensive Motor Insurance and Third Party Motor Insurance.
Third Party Motor Insurance
Our Third Party Motor Insurance policy covers against accidental loss or damage, bodily injuries, and death caused by your insured vehicle to a third party’s property or life. This is the minimum vehicle insurance cover required by law for all motor vehicles. Note: this does not cover damages to your own vehicle.
Comprehensive Motor Insurance
Our Comprehensive Motor Insurance policy covers against accidental loss or damage, fire, and theft to your vehicle insured up to the limit of the sum insured. It is also extended to cover your third-party legal liabilities that might arise in the event of an accident. Our Comprehensive Policy is the best, for apart from providing compensation for accidental damage to these vehicles and legal liabilities associated with use of such vehicles, it also can be extended to cover the passengers.
Important Passenger Liability Notice
Passengers carried in these vehicles, including your employees and even the drivers, are not covered under the Motor Third Party Liability Act for Bodily Injury and Death arising out of the use of the vehicles on the road. This explains why employees are catered for under the Employer’s Liability and Group Personal Accident Policies. Other passengers carried in your vehicles, including members of employees’ families, are carried at the risk of the company.
